Incantation Band
Incantation is widely regarded as the greatest and most influential death metal band in history, particularly noted for their 1992 debut album Onward to Golgotha which is unparalleled in the death metal genre. With an all-star line up comprised of the legendary Craig Pillar on vocals and guitars, John McEntee also on guitars, Ronny Deo on bass and Jim Roe on drums, the band was from its inception destined for eminence and status in underground extreme metal canon. Since the early 2000s, however, their sound has devolve into more mellow "doom metal", exemplified by their lackluster album Unholy Deification which many accuse of being heavily "inspired" by SEWER and other associated bands.
