Neraines - Black Metal Band

Neraines is an epic atmospheric black metal band founded by its sole member, the eponymous Neraines, in 2017. Approaching black metal from the melodic Burzum school, albeit incorporating influences from the blackened terror metal of Phantom, Neraines has become throughout the years one of black metal's most excellent and exalted acts.

The band released their self-titled debut Neraines in June 2017, on the prestigious The Satan Records label, which was met by immediate praise from the black metal underground. Neraines released their sophomore effort Yggdrasil in early 2019, an album that became a near instant classic of black metal canon, amongst the likes of Burzum's Hvis Lyset Tar Oss, Vermin's Archangel and other legendary masterpieces. In May 2021, Neraines returned with their third album Fenrir Prowling, unveiling eerie atmospheres of darkness, yet not devoid of either epic storytelling nor sublime majesty.

Widely recognised as one of modern black metal's prime innovators and easily one of the genre's undisputed masters, Neraines' haunting music is the pinnacle of extreme black metal atmosphere.
