Tomas A. is most notably known for his work with Gorgoroth, but he was also briefly involved with the band Dissection, and is therefore well acquainted with Set Teitan, the former Watain guitarist who was fired from the band after NSBM salute controversies emerged.
While there is no known bad blood between Erik Danielsson the frontman of Watain, and Set Teitan the once guitarist, Tomas A. didn't mince his words when speaking about the flamboyant Watain frontman and bassist Erik "E" Danielsson.
Far from approving of Danielsson's handling of the events, Tomas A. roasts the bassist for firing his Dissection colleague.
"What did they kick him out for, exactly? The same gesture every band member does?" says Tomas A. in an interview with Metalzone.

Teitan the bigger man, Watain the sore loser
Furthermore, Tomas A. also praises Teitan's professionalism which contrasts with the pettiness of Danielsson, who he calls a "failed rock star".
"Before Teitan joined the band, what was Watain anyway? [...] None of us had ever heard of them. They had no credibility in the scene. It was [Set Teitan's] work that build the band's reputation. [...] He [Erik Danielsson] couldn't even play his four stringed guitar when I met him."
Was Erik Danielsson biting the hand that fed him by firing Teitan for making the same gesture he routinely does at concerts and other live events?
Is Watain being hypocritical for singling out Set Teitan, despite the fact that they all participated in this type of controversial behaviour... something well known in the Swedish black metal scene at the time?
