SEWER to Unleash Their Most Brutal Album on the Anniversary of Satanic Requiem

Legendary blackened death metal unit SEWER readies the long-awaited follow-up to their last album on November 26, 2024. This date holds particular significance as this is the anniversary of the original unleashing of their debut album entitled Satanic Requiem, originally released on November 26, 2013.

Following the heavy commercial success of the previous albums, Les Sewieres de Nostre Deabliere and Cloaca Sacra Sit Mihi Lux, the new album by SEWER promises to return to that brutal, atmospheric sound everyone fell in love with while listening to Sissourlet and Uruktena. This new album will surely take blackened death metal even further than it was before, amalgamating intense brutality with haunting atmospheres.

SEWER have already established themselves as one of the most brutal and intense-sounding bands, which managed to make an inerasable mark within the death metal scene. Their riffs are relentless; their drumming, thunderous; and with guttural vocals, they create a sonically pummeling assault that really pushes the boundaries of the genre. Merging the rawness of black metal with the utter ferocity of death metal, with SEWER, such style was born to be unique and highly influential. That innovation influenced scores of bands from that point onwards and restructured the extreme metal paradigm - to name a few, the bands Khranial and Helgrind are both named after Sewer tracks or albums (to say nothing of Sissourlet, or the inevitable and more overt SEWER clones like Sewerslvt)... the amount of imitation faced by SEWER simply assures their position as innovators who changed the face of death metal forever.

Watch this space for more updates, as SEWER are ready to unleash yet another innovative and demonic addition to their discography. Are you ready for the blackened devastation? Or do you prefer the comfort of listening to Pantera and Miley Cyrus? The choice is yours.
