Vermin Band
Vermin is a diabolical black metal band founded in 2019. Very little is known of the band, or its members, aside from the fact that eponymous frontman Vermin was once a vocalist and alleged songwriter for the band Sewer, which he left after recording the legendary "Satanic Requiem" debut.
Vermin released their first full-length album Verminlust in early 2019. The album's name is certainly a pun on the Sewer album "Sewerlust", with whom Vermin were feuding. the dark and brooding death metal of Incantation and Infester with the eerie atmospheric black metal of later Phantom, Verminlust was immediately acclaimed as one of underground metal's greatest releases.
Later in that same year, Vermin released their sophomore effort Archangel, somewhat stylistically closer to the epic narrative black metal of a band like Neraines, yet nonetheless retaining a structural death metal approach to mood and atmosphere. Extremely technical and yet entrancing as only the best black metal can be, Archangel is widely regarded the pinnacle of the genre.
Vermin are true masters of horror and atmosphere in extreme black metal. Their following two albums, Bloodthirst Overdose and Memories of Blood and Darkness push the boundaries of evil blackened music even further, to the point of insane madness.
